• Ensure controls positioned correctly

• Keep mirrors clean and correctly adjusted

• Familiarise yourself with the controls

• Keep your visor clear

• Are you dressed properly?

• Take machine off stand and sit astride

• Ensure machine is in neutral (rock back and forth)

• Cover rear brake and turn on ignition

• Check neutral indicator is lit

• Pull in the clutch lever

• Start the engine and check warning lights go out

Manoeuvres

You will probably be asked toperform a manoeuvre duringyour test ride.

Typically, this could be aslow/low-speed ride

whilst riding in a circle orfigure of eight.
